My best friend

In this occasion I’m going to talk about my best friend, I’ve had great friends all my life and all of them have been uniques and I have learned many things with each, but the life give many laps and some times we have to separate of them and the relationships can change.

That’s why I’m going to talk about the person I consider my best friend because it had been always with me giving me their support and best advices, her name is Yuliceth and she is my sister. Yuli is the person who I grew up and she knows everything about me and I of her. She is younger than me and I think that she is one of the most intelligent persons that I know; she is chemical engineer and is a very reliable and nice person.

I’ve discussed with her a few times, but I think that is necessary to know our mistakes and work in them, fortunately our fights are very short.

Yuli and me have done many thigns together. The last week we went at the Museum of The Caribean, which is an amazing place to visit. One of the places where we most enjoy together is the cinema, we are the perfect partners for that, because we like the same kinds of movies.

I’m very grateful to God for having given this wonderful sister and I hope our relationship will be like this for ever and we can make old together.

COASTAL LAGOONS IN COLOMBIA

Coastal lagoons as their name indicates are located very near the coast and are separated from the sea by sand barriers of variable size; they have one or more cracks that allow the passage of water, but water can also cross when the tide is rise. The other source of food for these places are rivers, streams etc, which are in permanent contact with them in other sectors. The predominant vegetation on these sites are mangroves, which only live in brackish water. Coastal lagoons environments are very importants because they live many species of animals like birds, some mammals, reptiles and fish. To juvenile stages of fish these places, are something like a fish nursery and when they’re adults migrate to the sea or to rivers. Another aspect that makes these ecosystems very important is the impact on the economy of the communities adjacent to them, because many families derive their livelihood from them.
These are some places where I had been. Are very relaxing for me and have a beautiful view.

This picture show the Ciénaga La Atascosa, ubicated in Parque Isla de Salamanca, and here we can see the sand barrier.

This is Ciénaga del Medio, this lagoon hasn’t a direct contact with the sea because is a little far from it, however its water is brackish.

This is one of the pipes that connect the lagoons on the island with others lagoons or with bigger pipes. The most of this pipes are surrounded by mangrove.

This is a big pipe. It come from the Magdalena river.

This is Ciénaga Cuatro Bocas also in Salamanca Park. It's the biggest of this three lagoons.

Here is a fisherman of this zone.

These fishermen are using a chinchorro, it’s more big than atarraya.

And finally me, here I'm taking some data on Ciénaga La Atascosa, because as you know I'm Biologist and some times I had worked in these sites.
I recommend if you have the opportunity to go at this places don’t doub, because they have an incredible landscape and are very near from Barranquilla.
